We went skiing for a day at Hidden Valley between Xmas and New Year's
(1991). One thing about Hidden Valley is that you pay for lift
tickets as you drive in and they seem to only take cash; so, make sure
you bring some. The "hard" slopes are not incredibly hard, but
they're fun and we had a fine day there. One nice thing about H.V.
is that their "day" of day skiing lasts a long time, so we didn't feel
like we were getting thrown off the slopes before we were really done
(I can't remember if the day skiing lasted until 5 or 7pm). H.V. is a
bit small, though, so more than one day there in a row might get
boring.

My wife rented skis at Hidden Valley, which were reasonable and sufficiently
cheap that we felt no desire to rent somewhere else and lug the skis
over.

OOPS. In my last email (Tue, 21 Jan 92) "Hidden Valley" should be
"Seven Springs". I don't know why I thought we went to H.V. Should
have looked at my lift ticket. -- Avrim
