Jaime,

For conference slides, you can go to the university photographer.  He's
attached to Public Relations, I think, and he is experienced in this
medium.  He does, however, require some lead time.

For personal slides, I despair of getting good processing in Pittsburgh.
I use mailers direct to the manufacturer in the case of Kodachrome,
Agfachrome, etc.  I also use Eastman 5427, which is handled by mail
by a variety of specialty houses (one of them had coupons on the bulletin
boards recently).
