Hello.
Last year Sony Corp. (BETA) gavu up the idea of selling only BETA type
of VCR in foreign markets outside of Japan.  Although they do not apply
this policy within JAPAN market yet,  it seemed to me they admitted their
BETA could not go further.  This is just for your information.  
(The source of this information is some Television Financial News in Tokyo,
if I remember correctly.)
