Tony and I took the poster's advice and went to "Taste of India" last
night.
It was somewhat difficult to find, since I had thought the poster had
said that it was
opposite west penn med centre.

We started with complementart papadums with two relishes (onion, and
corriander/ginger). The other indian restaurants in town should follow
the hint - a low cost snack keeps diners happy whilst they wait.
We had the Vegetable Pakora appetiser - these were tasty, and good value
2 each of 3 types of pakora, with another relish (possibly tamarind, I
doidn't pay enough attention to the flavour).

For mains, we had the Navratan 'curry' and the M???? Murgh (skewered
chicken in a sauce with almonds and spices). Both were delicious. The
Navratan korma, in particular, was substantially better than that at
Darbar, which is pretty good to start out with (and they don't make you
pick a number of "spiciness" between 1 and 10, a Dabar ritual which I
find infuriating).

The only dissappointment was the garlic nan, which was burned and
somewhat tough. Perhaps someone a bit more bold than I could mention
this to them if it is usual.

The bill, at $19.30 for two, was slightly less than Darbar as well.
The people at the next table were obnoxious and loud. The atmosphere
unremarkable. The music, indian.

Summary: Good, Recommended.
[none of Pgh's 4 indian restaurants are particularly good, or
particularly bad. They vary mainly on price, and then only a little
(except the overpriced star of india). "Taste of India" is an agreeable
addition.]

Please post more reviews. - pgh seems to be finally catching on about
food.
[p.s. To Dr Bovik - Do you collect restaurant reviews?]
