Today I ate at Sofia, on Forbes just east of Craig (sort of across from
PHI). The food was quite good, the portions were decent, and the fellow
running the place seemed to be nice (and competent). He's been there
for about 2 weeks.

The lunch menu is mostly salads, soups, pies, maybe sandwiches, and that
sort of thing (though "chicken with rice" was also listed). I don't know
if the dinner menu is different; I suspect not, as the lunch menu was
posted by the door and I didn't see another one. It's a small place
(6 or 8 tables).

I had a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, and feta cheese (I
forget the name of it), a "puff" which was basically a pie with spinach
and feta, and the meatball soup -- a chicken broth with lots of noodles,
some parsley, carrots, and several meatballs. (Any two of these would
have been sufficient for a meal, as it turned out, but the prices were
in the $1.50-$2 range for each of these so I thought the portions would
be smaller.)

I recommend checking the place out.
