VHS is outselling Beta about three to one.  That's why rental places
carry more VHS titles.  Beta is the standard for industrial
presentations.  There seems to be no significant technical advantage for
either side.  Your best bet is to go with whatever your friends have, in
case you ever want to copy or borrow tapes; if that is not a factor, I'd
go with VHS.
