Subject: Labad's Middle Eastern Cafe

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Labad's in the Strip District.
Labads was originally a grocer of middle eastern foods, but recently opened
a restaurant (Cafe) in the back of their store. The proprieters Faiad and
Carol Labad (originally from Syria) are wonderful hosts to all their guests,
they always have excellent selection of freshly prepared foods including
kibeeh, hummus, baba, mazza and, of course, excellent baklava. Prices are
very reasonable and portions are quite large. Labad's Middle Eastern Cafe is
located on 1727 Penn Ave. in Pittsburgh's Strip District. They are open for
lunch and dinner everyday except Sundays. Reservations are recommended for
dinner (especially on Thursday and Friday nights). Saturday is least
crowded. The phone number is (412) 261-0419.
