I am still agitated enough by some recent abuse from a camera repair
service that I am uncontrolably driven to post my reply to Ingemar on
general.

Don Nichols' Camera Repair in Millvale is often recommended (and is in
the Bovik database as good repair service), but I recently had a very
bad experience with them. I took my Minolta 201 to them for
maintenance and a shutter problem. When I got it back the alignment
bead on the lens was missing and there was a visible film of oil in a
portion of the fresnel rings on the focusing mat. When I took it back
to them and showed them the problems (in a very civil manner) they
denied that either problem had occurred in their shop, became very
hostile, refused to do anything about it, walked away from the counter,
and ignored my presence. I ended up having to clean the oil from the
focusing mat myself! I strongly recommend avoiding this place!!!!!
