I went to the 2 local places last year. 7-springs charge $32/day for lift
tickets (hiway robbery for the bumps they call hills). Hidden Valley has 1/2
price days on Tues and Thrus. I think the price was $15.

I would *strongly* disrecommend the Shadyside Ski and Bike shop for renting
skis! I rented a set of skis from them the night before one of the ill-fated
GSO trips. When I rented the skis I asked "If we get to the slopes and find
no snow can I get my money back?" The sales person assured me that if I had
the skis back before noon that I could have a full refund. Well when I got
back the next day at 11:30 (after a wonderful trip the turnpike McDonalds), the
owner told me that there was no way they could give me my money back. I rented
the skis and by having them out of the store I prevented them from another
possible rental. It was such bullshit! I had the skis from maybe 7:30PM to
11:30 AM and there was no snow to be found anywhere near PGH! I argued for
about 30 minutes and the best they offered was a raincheck good for a rental
sometime during the rest of the season. Of course that turned out to be just
like nothing because we didn't get anymore snow that season. They wouldn't
even give me credit to buy any of their overpriced gear.
