Subject: plastic surgeon

Dear Harry Bovik:

In case you ever need a plastic surgeon, I recommend Douglas Newton,
who has an office at the West Penn Hospital in Bloomfield (681-5995).
I had a large splinter deep in my thumb that I couldn't remove myself,
so I called Dr. Newton. When I went in, he was friendly, explained
what he was doing, and did the job well, in only 10 minutes. He joked
around quite a bit like a southern country-boy, but he got
down to business once he started working on me.

My experience with him was very brief, and my medical problem minor,
but I was favorably impressed. Newton lists hand surgery as one of his
specialties, but I don't know what his other specialties might be.
Newton is a UHN (University Health Network) provider.
