I got my Perma-lens contacts at Spectacles, etc. in Oakland on Forbes near
Parkvale bank. These are 14-day extended wear, and I highly recommend them
for comfort and convenience. I wore regular daily-wear soft ones before,
from someone no longer in business, so I can't guarantee that Spectacles
would be OK as far as instruction and starting out wearing them. These cost
about $300, which includes exam and followups. Regular soft ones cost less
but in the long run, these probably win due to less need to buy solutions
and accessories. And time is money, and they take a lot less time to maintain
and are more comfortable, ie, less trouble while being worn. There are
apparently some newer 30-day lenses ...
