Dick Katzin and Frank Cignetti, who work together from an office in
Monroeville, are among the best opthalmologists in Pittsburgh. Katzin
used to head the Dept of Opthalmology at Pitt, and Cignetti is a
corneal specialist (he performed Richard Swan's corneal transplant).
Everyone at Eye & Ear Hospital, from physicians down to secretaries,
recommends them very highly. Katzin diagnosed my wife's retinal problem
correctly, although I must admit he didn't know as much as the
retinal specialist at Eye & Ear Hospital. However, he seems to be an
excellent general opthalmologist.
