I obtained mine from Dr A.D.Rubenstein on Walnut St in Shadyside.  He charges
$20 for the eye examination and $65 for soft lenses ($85 for Bausch & Lomb
ones, if I remember correctly).  I haven't had any problems with them at all.
He doesn't, however, let you come for periodic check-ups, unlike others I
have heard of; only if you have any specific problems.
