I consulted your (hqb) database in 1982 to find a dentist. At that time,
Stephen M. Miller had 3 favorable references plus he is within walking
distance from CMU.

I found Mr. Miller to be very professional and I used his services while
staying at CMU (1982-1989). He is good at explaining what is necessary
and what is optional and all why's, how's etc. He uses state of the
art equipment and seems to stay in touch with current developements in
his area. He did not push for optional treatment.

Hint for foreign students who never had to pay for a dentist (like me):
Filling a hole is a $50 or so affair. They generally want to give you
a professional tooth clean-up (micro sand-blasters to remove hard deposits)
which runs arround $55. Initially, they want to take a set of X-rays
(which is good for several years): $100. [Note: German dentists are not
that font of X-rays and use them only when deemed necessary, in which case
the take a picture of the area in question - not the whole set. So I was
surprised]. Caveat: these costs are from rusty memory, just to give you
an idea.

Bottom line: I'm a satisfied customer.
