My request for a good general physician yielded the following summary
of recomendations.

	-visting for past 2 years, young but real competent
	-recommended by Mark Stehlik

Norman Cohen  Corner of Darlington and Shady  521-4546
	-no appointments, but the wait isn't too long.
	-mostly treats old folks.
	-M-F after 1pm
	-may have retired 
	-recommended by Hank Walker

Dr. Beam  Rodi Road in Penn Hills right off parkway
	-good family doctor
	-Karen Lewis

Mark Meese (pronounced Mace)  Craig Medical Associates, Craig between
		Forbes and the next street toward Fifth
	-interist
	-Meese seems good and the rest of the people in the office 
	are supposed to be good too.
	-Sometimes schedules fill up and they can't take new clients
	-Richard Wallstein


East Liberty Family Health Care Center  basement of Eastminster Church
		Highland Ave. E. Liberty
	-very human
	-has taken his kids there
	-Conal Elliott

Dr. Jerry Rabinowitz  South Aiken Professional Bld on S. Aiken near
		Centre in Shadyside  682-3411
	-seeing him for several years and pretty happy.
	-wife (M.D.) has been quite happy with a lot of things he has done
	-rather busy, normally you have to schedule things in advance
	-near Shadyside Hospital where you can have all kinds of lab
	tests done
	-does routine gynelogical visits, including PAP 
	-Dario Guise

Shadyside Family Practice Clinic, at the hospital
	-you see the same doctor all the time, but others
	are available for consultation if yours is booked

	-works out of his home

Dr. Marian (sp?) Block  Shadyside Family Health Center  622-2210

	-excellent physician
	-convenient hours and reasonable prices ($20/visit)
	-does annual gynelogical exams, if a problem will refer you to
	an obsitrician or gynecologist

Susan Irby  used to be with Central Medical Pavilion on Murray, but recently
		went into her own practice.
