Subject: Contact Lenses through Lensmart

 I used LensMart for a  couple of years without any problems.  During
   this time they were professional and the orders arrived on time.
   
   Recently, though I have started to have some problems.  They wouldn't
   give me a straight answer as to when I was going to get my lenses
   and kept telling me it was backordered.  After waiting for 4 weeks
   I cancelled my order and asked them to issue a refund to my credit
   card because they had billed me at the time of the order not at the 
   time of shipment(!).  They said they would issue a refund but never
   did.  I called them back and asked them what happened.  Their story
   was that they shipped the lens to me.  The lenses never arrived.
   They said that they would ahve to put a tracer on the package but at
   this point I asked the credit card company to deal with them directly.
   
   During one of my conversations with  Lensmart, they told me that
   they were in the process of changing their computer system.  This 
   might explain some of the confusion, but I am not sure.
   
   I advise you to stay in close contact with these people until your
   order shows up. If your order is delayed make sure they are not
   billing you until the order is shipped.
