Here are all the responses I got from my post asking for pediatric dentists
who also do work on adults.

Bonnie,

My teeth go to Gerald Josephson. I think he's a pediatric dentist
as well. For whatever it's worth, he gives a discount to
Healthamerica members. He was recommended by Purvis; Purvis'
recommendation follows:

__________
From: Purvis.Jackson@sei.cmu.edu
My family dentist, and personal friend, Gerald M. Josephson,
is a participating member of HealthAmerica. He's a nice guy
and an excellent dentist. I highly recommend him.
	[Gerald M. Josephson, D.M.D.
	 5901 Penn Ave.
	 Pgh, PA 15206
	 361-7300]
__________

That's the Penn Ave in East Liberty. He's just a block or two
into the circle from the west boundary.

Dr. Lewis in Sq. Hill is great with kids and adults.

I would recommend you to stay away from Dr. Winkler in Oakland --
I took my 3 year old there, and was not pleased at all. He
wouldn't let me hold my sons hand or stand next to him, which
i felt was necessary because my son had never been to a dentist
and it can be a frightening experience. Every time I said something
to comfort my son, he said "be quiet, don't talk to him"..."you
can go sit out in the waiting room".

good luck,
lori

Bonnie,

My family goes to Stephen Miller, in Oakland. While he isn't a
pediatric dentist, he has examined my 4 year old for the last 2 years,
so he's good with kids. I would recommend him highly.

My kids go to a pediatric dentist who only takes kids. His name is Gottlieb
and he is in West Penn Hospital. I think he is very good. He *never* lets
parents go in with the kids because he (wisely) feels that many parents
make the children afraid. I can give you more details if you want, but
I think he's good. I go to Samuels in Greentree. It sounds like it is
trouble to get to him, but it is actually easier than finding parking in
Oakland. I'll give you details on him too if you like. Good luck.

You might try Mark Gottlieb. He's a pretty well-known pediatric dentist. I
don't know if he'd work on you. The other person I would recommend is Teddy
Levine. His office is in Penn Center. He's my dentist.

Dr. Lisa Weinberg was recommended by Jeff Sokolov. Her youngest patient is
2 years old and they get along just fine. She is evidently young and new.
She has two offices, one in Dormont 344-7366 and one in Carnegie 279-7366.

And one phone call from Noel Newell, recommending a Dr. John Dovey on Aiken,
in the Coronado Building. Noel used him for her son 30 years ago and he was
great, but she says he might be a bit crochety now.
