I had orthotics made by Dr. David Vilsack in the "Professional Building"
next to Shadyside Hospital on Aiken.  I found him to be personable and
competent, though I must admit I have no basis for comparison for the
latter.  His fees seemed reasonable; he saw me to make adjustments to
the orthotics at no charge.  Bear in mind that much podiatric work is
NOT covered by typical insurance policies.  (His grandfather or
great-grandfather was a founder of the Pittsburgh Brewing Company --
he'll no doubt be impressed if you know this.)
