Subject: Pest Inspectors
Message-Id: <1989.7.10.15.34.43.Hank.Walker@taurus>

The following were the results of my request for pest inspectors to
inspect the house prior to purchase.

From: Bill Chiles

I suggest Fort Pitt. I recommend staying away from Witt and Rentokill.
Ignore the fact that CMU uses Rentokill; however, hires these assholes
doesn't live here or understand pest control one fucking bit!

From Roni Rosenfeld

We had BAD experience with Ehrlich. They checked our house for us
before we bought it, and certified it clean. When we moved in, we
found out we had carpenter ants. We were told that from their size it
is evident that they have been around for a long time. Our guess was
that the previous owners push them away temporarily by means of insect
repellent just before the inspection. We still think they should have
been able to find signs of them, other than direct observation.

To be fair, we managed to get them to do a pesticide job at no charge
because of their mistake, but I believe they did it only because our
realtor threatened not to recommend them anymore.

I would use somebody else.
