Roy-
     When I was growing up in Indianapolis (hotter than Pbgh) we had
such a fan.  I thought it did an adequate job of reducing the misery.
Of course, I was comparing it to nothing not to air-conditioning.
Nevertheless, I am also considering getting one.  I rather prefer fresh
air to processed air.  I thought the CU article was pretty well done and
pointed out the disadvantages and advantages well.  If you get any more
info, I'd appreciate a pointer to same.
