THe results are below. I bought a $12 kit from the Craig St office. It was a 7 day test ( you can get 3 day or 7 day tests). I sent the results in to be analyzed and a week later got the results. Basically, radon is below average (average is 4) in the Churchill area. I got mine at Hechinger's. -- J ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Jun 88 11:03:00 EDT From: Eric.Cooper@SPICE.CS.CMU.EDU Subject: Re: Radon test I've forgotten the name of the professor who heads the project, but mail to Radon Project Physics Department University of Pittsburgh Pgh 15213 will reach them. When we did ours, the kit + lab analysis cost $12. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Jun 88 11:47:00 EDT From: Victor.Milenkovic@IUS2.CS.CMU.EDU Subject: Re: Radon test Radon Project P.O. If you live in the North Hills, it is conveniently located on McKnight Road. (Otherwise a friend who does live up there might pick one up for you.) For $12 they give you a charcoal filled container and a pre-stamped mailing box. You expose it in your basement for a few days, mail it off, and a few days later get the results back in the mail. Good luck, Carol Novak
