I thought bovik had this. I sent it once already. I also decided to send
an earlier letter. But I can't find it. So in general I tried 3 different
contractors:

  McDonough - Below. He was cheaper by about 20% though that was probably
              because he quoted me less work. I had a chimney that O'leary
              was going to tear down farther than he thought was necessary
              O'leary said he thought it was blocked, but it turned out 
              not to be. It is unclear to me which was right. I picked
              Bill because he is a friend of my neighbor's and I had
              bovik's reccomendation also. My neighbor uses him for pointing
              jobs too.

  BucciGrossi - Looked at it once, and never got back to me. Though I 
              called 3 times a week for 2 weeks.

  O'Leary - Quick response, Seemed competent. Had a slightly different
            work plan which cost more.

I just had 2 chimneys pointed by Bill McDonough (243-5688). In
addition one was completely rebuilt. In addition he tested them to
make sure they were clear, as the bricks on the inside can fall in
blocking the chimney. We had this done because we were having our roof
fixed, and were told we had to have the chimneys fixed first.

Bill showed up when he said, and worked quickly to completion.
The work looks well done, though I am not a brick layer. He
was also resonably priced.
