His card says: Wood Floor Specialists Greg Ambrose 793-8017 Commercial, residential Sanding, refinishing, parquet, teak, hardwood He did an EXCELLENT job on them - they required some repairs, plus a full sanding (three times) plus multiple coats of stain and polyurethane, all for about $1 a square foot. The repaired places were the most amazing, since even *I* can't tell the new wood from the old unless I remove the baseboard and look at the ends of the boards! They did an excellent job without any problems coming up. I know at least four other people who were happy with them as well. If they're in the area, they are also willing to stop by and repair a damaged board or two (I had this done the day before I put carpet in upstairs). However, I do know someone who was dissatisfied -- before sanding they did some repairs and now the wood doesn't match very well. They did an excellent job. They will give you an estimate if you give them room dimensions. It takes three days to do the job, because of drying times between coats. We had them do half the house in each of two visits. It is cheaper if you remove carpeting, etc. yourself.
