Dear Dr. Bovik --

These are some responses from my query for carpeting recommendations.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
I went carpet shopping last Saturday. We're looking for bedroom carpeting.
Roth gave the best quote (~$15/yd carpet/pad/installation) and the carpet
seemed reasonable. It looks like a very low overhead operation. I saw the
same brand of carpet there for $15/yd that I saw at color tile for $23/yd.
So color tile seems a bit overpriced, but they have loads of guarentees and
10yr buy back policies

Allen carpets had the second lowest quote (~$16-$17/yd), but that particular
carpet was very low quality. The salesman proudly said they installed this
carpet in many apartments.

Prizant's carpets had nice salespeople and their carpet looked the best
(to my expert eye :-)). Their quotes were about $20/yd.

Right now I'm leaning towards Roth, but I'd like to hear about their
installation and support.
