Pgh., PA 15221

Been in business for years. Arch died about 2 years ago.
Son's taken over the business; his name may be Arch, too.
I can't remember. If you call them, you get an answering machine
but they're very good about getting back to you, at work or at home.
Can say I referred you.

Okay guys. Related to one of my neighbors.
Used to carry only Lennox, but things change.
They may carry other brands now.

In the NoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNo No! Not ever! column:
Lou Comer aka L. J. Comer
At one time, a good outfit. The father died, the son took over, and ....
no no no no no, and no. Nuh-uh. Bad dude.

Furnace: check "Consumer Reports" in SEI library.
Things to look for when buying a new gas, forced air:

.written bid
.thermostat with automatic set-back
.automatic pilot - comes on, on demand; not burning all the time
.electronic air cleaner
.humidifier - April Air is the best
.and then there's the "thing" (I can't remember what it's called)
in the outgoing, hot-air vent which closes
 while the air in the  heating chamber is being heated;
then it opens again when the fan comes on
to send the hot air on it's merry way.
.ductwork cleaned
.fittings tightened, etc.
.haul all debris away
.ability to convert to whole-house air-conditioning in the future
