Subject: replacing the garage door and opener

I thought I'd just pass along my experiences with Thomas V. Giel
Garage Doors Inc of Gibsonia (443-1437).

On the recommendation of two people on the 'net, I called them in to
get an estimate on how much it would cost to replace a double width
garage door and opener. The guy who came, Bill Watts, was very
friendly and helpful.

Rather than being real smart and spending more time getting some other
estimates, I went ahead and just ordered the door and opener from
'em. The guys who came to do the work showed up an hour late, but
other than that, they did a good job of removing the old door/opener,
and then installing the new one. They were sure to explain everything
to me and did a nice job cleaning up afterwards. BTW, it took about 4
hours for them to do all the work.

Oh, the 'estimate' is actually a real quote. They made it clear that
nothing additional would be charged (and nothing was). I also made an
error in adding some of the options up and they were quick to point
out that I was $50 over the actual cost.

Walter
