I asked on the bboard about how to decide whether to pay points or
not.  (If you pay 1 or 2 points up front, you get lower payments.)
The main advice was to compare what you save versus what you could get
by investing the point money instead.  It was also pointed out that if
you think you might want to move or refinance within a few years,
points are a bad idea.
