I received a letter from AT&T saying they had analyzed my last 4
months' AT&T calls, and I'd save money by switching. I was suspicious,
wondering why AT&T woulf spend money to cut their cash intake, and
asked the bb readers what they thought. The concensus is that AT&T is
motivated by (1) ensuring a steady cash flow, similar to discounts you
get for magazine subscriptions, (2) hoping you'll make even more calls,
and (3) preventing you from deciding to switch to Sprint. Several
people warned me to check my last few months' bills, because they claim
AT&T had lied to them about their previous calling patterns!
