Here are two responses to my request for competent picture framers.
Both recommend Miller frame on Penn Circle.  I had them frame two
difficult artworks, one on bark and one on silk, with excellent results.

I've been dealing with Miller Frame, on Penn Circle in East Liberty.  I
find them very helpful, and they do good work, and the prices seem
reasonable (same cost for them to do it as to do it at a do-it-yourself
shop).  My only complaint is that anything, just even a simple matting,
takes at least two weeks.
