From: Roberta Jean Long Hi, I realize it's to late for some people, but to those looking for a palce, avoid this landlord like the plague!!! This is a copy of the complaint me & my roomate filed with Norma Shaw about Gerald Kruth, he owns many other builidings throughout the area, so beware! They are incredibly slow & neglectful about repairs, when they are done they are not done right. (the people on the 3rd floor also had a broken window , for over 2 months, the people on the 1s floor had a non-working over for over 3 months) This complaint is being filed about Gerald & Linda Kruth, owner & landlords of building in the CMU area. Particular residence in question: 5601 Wilkins Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA Complaints: Inadequate furniture (advertised as furnished) - leaking waterbed - 1 broken desk - 1 unusable desk - moldy furniture(couch) - no table & chairs (as promised in writing) Refridgerator - uncontrollable frosting in freezer - freezer door not stay closed - eats electricity ($65 one month, $25 the next( when it was not used)) Safety issues - no working smoke alarms - broken window(ground level) for over one month - live wires exposed next to heating pipes- cause sparks to fly in bedroom - exposed telephone connection for entire house(bedroom) - exposed wires in ceiling(electricity) Banging pipes - 24 hours a day Leaking shower door Leaking toilet- would not flush all the time Unable to move in when he promised the apartment would be ready Slow & neglectful about repairs Just thought everyone should be informed Just thought you should know, Bert
