They are wonderful to you as a tennant while you are there in terms of general maintenance on the building (cleaning, laundry, etc) as well as with fixing problems within your apartment. BUT, the bad points are biggies. I had asked what type of rent increase to expect for the year following my lease before signing, and I was told that it would be no more than $10. It turned out to be $50. Just from following the ads in the classified section, I see that the rent would have increased another $45 this year. Many of the residents in my former building were elderly, and had lived there for a long time - they told me that this was commonplace. They were slow in getting the deposit back, although it was within a month (just barely). However, even though my apartment was immaculate when I left (and cleaner than when I moved in, btw), I was charged about 1/3 of my deposit for cleaning fees. Perhaps I am a little bitter, but I think I was mistreated by them, and I know of other people who have been as well. I would run. Jennifer
