I had a terrible experience with Pool and Spa Outlet opening my pool this
year.  I decided to try a switch from Village Pools, who did it last year.
Big mistake.

With Village Pools last year, I noticed the water was cloudy after opening.
But about 2-3 days later, with the pump running normally, the water was
crystal clear.

This year with Pool and Spa Outlet, I was confused by the dinginess of the
pool liner itself.  And I was surprized we weren't reading any chlorine.  It
turned out they had used a lithium shock instead of a chlorine shock, and they
suggested I throw in some chlorine shock to bring up the level.  They
explained that they vacuumed it once and that it was my responsibility to
vacuum it a 2nd time.  After 4-5 hours of work the following weekend, I had
most of it cleaned.  There really didn't seem to be any evidence that the pool
had been vacuumed even the first time.

It seems absurd that they would use a lithium shock then tell me I needed to
buy chlorine shock.  They charged me about $65 for chemicals this year.
Village Pools last year only charged about $15.  And I had to do much more
work myself than I did last year.  When I tried to resolve my dissatisfaction
with Pool and Spa Outlet, they simply didn't care much; they "didn't have
time" for me.  I've decided to stick with Village Pools from here on out.
