I used MCI for a while and found it a very good service.  It is worthwhile
if you have long distance calls in excess of $25/month.  They only connect
major cities so if your long distance calls go to a small town it is not
worth it.  They occasionally run specials, like last Holloween they had
a special, call anywhere in the country for 1 penny a minute.  This was
from 12 midnight to 8 am.  I never had any problem getting a line.  It
was convienent also because I could make long distance calls from anywhere
in the city.
