Contrary to almost all the opinions in your database, I have had
very good experience with Stahl plumbing.  We have used them for
all sorts of plumbing jobs and they seem to do a good job, be punctual
and don't charge an exorbitant amount.  The one thing that is great
is that someone will at least call you back immediately.

One day I returned from vacation to find that the person who was taking
care of our plants had turned the heat all the way down and since
it was in the middle of a cold spell our pipes had frozen.  Unwittingly,
I turned the heat up and at some point the pipes in the kitchen
burst.  I called Stahl and someone called me back within
a few minutes (it was around 10 pm on a weekend) and walked me through
the steps of shutting of the supply valves to both the water pipes and
the radiator pipes.  If they hadn't done this, it would have taken
me a while to figure out what to turn off and could have resulted in
a lot of damage.  There was no charge for the help on the phone.

Apparently, they call back in the evenings and weekends even if you are
just asking their answering service for an early morning appointment.

I have had at least 5-8 interactions with these people over the last 3 years
and they seem to OK. They also seem to have a division now that does
remodeling such as laying floors in bathrooms.  I checked with them
for a price and they were much higher than the carpenter (Nagib Kassouf)
that we decided to go with eventually.
