When we closed on our house we had an attorney present.  She found a
few minor errors in the documents (though I found one more major!) but
did not serve much of a purpose other than reassurance.  The bill, as I
recall, was nearly $500!  I guess I would do it again (I'm selling and
have an attorney representing my interests...the one with the closing
office usually represents your bank, not the buyer or the seller!)
