We just bought our first house.  It was a breeze.  We had absolutely no
problems and owe all of our thanks to Nettie Glickman of Howard Hanna
Realty (Squirrel Hill office).  Nettie gave us real, honest-to-goodness
personal service.  

The day we had our mortgage interview, I was home without the car and Jeff
(our son) was feverish/ill.  On her own initiative, Nettie drove my husband
back to our house from the meeting, got my required signatures and
hand-delivered the necessary papers to to the loan officer, who had to move
on to his next meeting across town.  We applied for our mortgage on 8 July
and we were approved on 5 August (that's a record-breaking 20 business
days).  Nettie even listed our old apartment so that we wouldn't be stuck
with it for eight months after 1 September (which was when we were planning
on taking occupancy of the new house).  Also, there were no surprises on any
of the estimates she gave us.  As we were browsing through the house for the
first time, Nettie gave us an estimated mortgage (including taxes, insurance
and PMI).  Her figures wound up being accurate to the penny.  She gave us
loads of counsel on who to talk to for various fix-ups and offered advice on
our new garden.  An added plus:  She was amazingly patient on the days when
Jeff wasn't in a such cooperative mood and offered to work from our
apartment, rather than her office.

I can only guess that Nettie would help you to find just what you're looking
for.  Ed and I have no experience with how well she can match your ideas
with the house - we found our house by chance: walking back from the Giant
Eagle, we saw an open house, decided to stop in, fell head-over-heals in
love, and made a bid on it that night.  However, since she really puts her
heart and soul into the job, I'm certain that she'll help you find your
dream home.  No pressure, just a fun person to talk to and deal with.

I can go on but, I'm sure you get the picture.

We remain absolutely and totally impressed with her work, competence,
energy and friendliness.
