We first went around to a few places, which weren't exactly to my taste, but close. Then she just gave me a listing of houses in my price range in likely areas, and I went off and looked. When I found a place I really liked, she gave me numbers of neighbors to talk to, and was in general competent, low-key, and available. I did hire a lawyer in the end, but only because I was nervous. She acted in good faith the whole way through (belying the experiences of others that real-estate agents are slime). I was also impressed with the Coldwell-Banker office as a whole, and had considerable confidence in them as things progressed. Erik.
