I can't recommend companies, but do have one comment.
Everything I've ever read says that you should get term life insurance
only for the years that you need it. In other words, if you have no
children and you spouse works and expects to be able to be self-supporting
if you die, you don't need any life insurance at all. If you want
insurance to support children or a spouse, you should every year buy term
insurance for the amount that you want to be covered for if you died that
year and put the rest of your money in some kind of savings. Then, if
you ever accumulate enough savings or pensions to cover a spouse (if desired)
or if your children get old enough that you aren't worried about providing
for them any more, then you just quit buying any insurance again.
Supposedly most of the non-term policies are rip-offs. That's all I know
since I concluded that I don't need any life insurance now.
Have fun investigating. Elaine
