A few years ago I recommended Tom Donohue of State Farm (351-3305,
located on Greensburg Pike).  Recently a couple of people have
mentioned that this recommendation is old and asked if I still
recommend him.

Yes, I do.  We have both automobile and homeowners policies with
him (and had a renters policy before buying a house).  In the
past year or two we've made a couple of claims, all settled promptly.

For example, in a windstorm a month or so ago a tree dropped a branch
in our yard, clipping the roof and stairs on the way down.  It took
us over a week to get an estimate from the roofer but less than a
week from the time we mailed the estimate to Tom until the check
was in our hands (and an adjuster came by during that week).
