Subject: Dis-recommendation for Tom Donohue

Harry,

Contrary to most others who have sent you advice on insurance agents,
I would *not* recommend Tom Donohue, who is a State Farm agent.

My main complaint is simply the level of service he provided. I had
one-year assigned risk policy with his office. He did not keep me
informed of any of the changes in the Pennsylvania insurance laws, did
not send me several necessary forms until very near the expiration
date of my policy, and then was of little help filling the forms out.
Phone calls were not returned and his secretaries were quite
unhelpful.

Perhaps this level of inattention was because the policy was
assigned risk, and perhaps Donohue was unusually busy because of the
changing insurance laws. Whatever the reason, I'm changing insurance
agents. Note that I have no complaint with State Farm in general.
