If you don't already have insurance in PA, you may not have many
options because of a PA court decision that was made last year. State
Farm was the only place that I could find that was willing to open
any new policies except the State High Risk which costs an arm and a
leg for almost no coverage. They also had the best rates around, so it
didn't bother me much.

I can't help you much with what happens after claims because I've never
had to make one, however I've heard a lot of stories about very shaky
claims that State Farm paid, so I would expect them to get good reviews
all around.

George,
Consumer Reports magazine has had a number of reports on auto insurance
companies, including at least one very complete comparison of most of
the major ones; probably within the last year.
