I have been with State Farm since 1976.  I went with them because of
their rates.  It was also a plus that I had heard of them before.  I
have not checked rates since then, but Doug Locke (cdl@g) says they are
still competitive.

I have had two claims.  Each time, I drove out to their claim center
dreading all the reasons they would find to disallow this or that, and
thinking up ways to counter their arguments.  Each time, this fear
turned out to be groundless, as they cheerfully accepted my opinion of
what they should pay for.  I'm satisfied.

P.S. Perhaps my worrying was due to a bad experience my parents had
with the weasels at Allstate.
