Jessica Hodgins sent me the following advice:

I would recommend AMICA (343-5200). Their rates are reasonable
for replacment value insurance and include an end of the year
rebate. Our apartment was burglarized last May and they didn't
quibble about the claim even though I didn't have receipts for
all the jewelry and some of the electronics was on loan from
friends.

You probably already know this but you almost certainly want
replacement value insurance--the "actual value" of a 3 year old
stereo is about half what you paid for it.

The replacement value policy contains a clause specifying that
you will receive the actual value of the item at the time of the
claim and the replacement value of the item after you replace it.
I'm not sure if this is standard but I suspect so.
