Since the discussion on life insurance, TIAA/CREF has adopted "unisex" rates.
This should decrease their rates for men (who are more likely to die young)
and increase them for women.  Conversely, they have also adopted unisex rates
for annuities, to women's benefit.

Unless and until other companies adopt unisex rates, or Congress mandates
them, men will probably find TIAA/CREF life insurance an extremely good
buy.  Although TIAA/CREF rates have been historically the best, women
may now do better with another company.
