Lechter's, a housewares shop in the Monroeville Mall and Century III Mall,
has lots of frames--one-piece plexiglass covers, plastic covers with
colored plastic borders--and they are the least expensive place to buy them.
Lacking transit, you could try the frame store on Murray Ave near Phillips.

There are a couple of picture framing stores in Murray Avenue, just
after it begins to slope dowm after the Eat and Park and the Giant
Eagle. They might be able to offer you some kind of ready-made cheap
kit. Good-luck.

Try sending mail to gerry@cive.ri.cmu.edu. Or give hom a call at
home. 412-422-3987.

Gerry has a small framing business on the side and might very well
be able to help you.

It depends on the size of the poster but I've found a series of frames
available at Lechner's at the Monroeville Mall (and other malls, it's a chain)
to be great. They're see through plastic frames that stick out from the wall
about an inch. No borders or trim, just the picture you put in them. I have
a couple of these and have found them to be very sturdy as well as very useful.
I recommend buying them at Lechners although they are available at other places
such as Rolliers Hardware in Shadyside. However, they're expensive there. A
22" x 28" cost me around $12 I believe.

Good luck.

You could look at any Ames or Murphy's store in the area, they should have
what you are looking for. I bought two plexiglass frames for 16x20" posters
at decent prices (like $3.00 each).
