Dear Professor Bovik, Monica, and Susan,

I have been searching for Gold Leaf in sheet (not paint)
form for a few days and I just found a store that stocks it
all the time: the "Art & Craft Supply Center, Inc." at South
20th & Wharton, accross the Birmingham bridge. (431-3380)

They carry 10x10cm sheets of gold leaf, as well as kits with
application tools, adhesive fluid, and some sort of special
shellac-like fixing agent. This product is used for
finishing, embossing, and plating, as well as a cool
alpha-particle deflection demonstration of the Bohr nucleus!

Strangly enough, the radioactive alpha source and
phosphoresent paint needed for the demo are easier to find
-- you can get the source out of a smoke detector, and the
CMU art store sells the paint.

PS. Susan: The LeeWards in Monroeville only carries
it when they're doing the horses.
