Stay away from "Centre One Hour Dry Cleaners", on Centre Ave. near Craig
(across from the Giant Eagle). These people are bozos.

I called them yesterday because I wanted to get my winter coat cleaned
while the weather was mild (as it was yesterday). Looking in the yellow
pages, I saw their add and thought they could do the job quickly,
given their name. So I called them to see how fast they could get it done.
Their reply was that if I brought the coat in before 1pm they'd have it done
by 4pm. So, I walked up Craig and had the coat to them at 12:30.
Again, I got their assurance that it would be clean by 4.
At 4:15 I showed up, and they couldn't find my coat with the cleaned
clothes. After some hemmin' and hawing they admitted that they hadn't
cleaned the coat yet, because someone had inadvertently put it on the side.
I was pretty mad about this because I had walked all the way from school
for nothing. So I let the guy know that I was upset, and that the only
reason I had brought the coat to them in the first place was because
they said that they could clean it quickly. Well, he said that there
was nothing he could do now; if I wanted the coat I could have it back,
or he could have it for me by this morning. "What time?", I asked.
"Nine a.m.", he said. I agreed to leave it.
So this morning at 9:10, I went back. After handing my claim check to the
woman at the counter (who was there the previous day), she returned from the
back with a blue coat (mine's tan). Well, at first I thought they had dyed
it. Realizing that it was not my coat, I told her so. As she went into the
back again, I wondered if I was going to have to sort through the thousands
of garments that they had there, to identify my coat. Looking through
the doorway to the back room, I saw her talking to the man that had
guaranteed me the 9am pickup time. She then came back and told me that
my coat was almost out. Well, I waited another 15 minutes before it was done,
seeming to indicate that they had only begun to clean it after I arrived.
Finally, this woman decided that since I had to come back twice, and
wait 20 minutes for my coat, she'd lower the charge from 7 to 5 dollars.
(If she was really trying to keep me as a customer, she should have
made it no charge.) Then she had the nerve to say, "It'll never happen again,
guaranteed!". Well, my only thought was, "You're right, because I'll never
be back, guaranteed!".
Don't let it happen to you -- stay away from these jerks.
