In my search for cheap places to get stuff, the best place I've ever seen
has to be Hills. (I go to the one in Robinson Town Center, right off the
Parkway West. Robinson Town Center, BTW, is in general a good place to
shop, with a Sun TV, IKEA, and a very large LOOOONG (imagine all the stores
in Monroeville Mall stretched out in a line) strip mall with lots of
stores of all kinds.) Anyway, I first went to Hills to get some CD racks,
thinking it to be a K-mart kind of place. I found an excellent rack there
that holds about 192 CDs, or you can put video tapes or cassettes in there
with no alterations or adjustments, for about $20.

Another time I went looking for a camera. My first thought was Sun TV,
and they had a bunch of cameras with the features I was looking for
(35-70mm zoom, electronic, built-in flash, red eye reduction, etc.)
in the $130-170 range. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for,
so I ended up going to Kaufmanns and found a camera there for $130,
normally $150. It was closer to what I wanted, so I bought it. But as
I started using it, there were things about it I didn't like too much,
so I returned it. I then went to Hills because I was in the area, and
found the same camera for ~$100. They also had a really cool camera for
$110, with way more features and better designed than any that I'd seen
anywhere else, including at Sun. So I bought it. What's more, they also
gave me some free film developing with the camera purchase. And when I
dropped my film off for developing (still at Hills), I noticed the prices
were lower than any I had seen so far. But my camera also needed a
battery, and when I saw the battery prices, they were also lower than
any I had seen so far anywhere. Finally, I decided to get some film,
and their prices were, you guessed it, lower than any I had found so far.

So basically, every time I've gone to Hills, it's been a total win.
There's my 2 cents worth.
