Well, I have info on suits, but no opinion...yet. I had a suit's sleeves shortened at Stylegate on Walnut St. Surprisingly, that place charged almost the least out of the stores around N. Oakland/Shadyside/ Sq. Hill, at least from phone quotes. After the shortening, I tried the suit on at home, and it still seemed a little long. I haven't gone back yet to ask them about it. They seem to know about the finer points of style, though, like having the shirt cuff exposed under the suit, etc., and they do custom-make shirts and suits. Please let me know what else you find out. I've been going there for about eight years and have always been quite satisified with their service (plus the people are nice, too). I personally can not speak from experience, but some other neighbors claim he does excellent work for a modest price. I can not even tell you how to get there because he actually lives in the South Hills. The information I am posting I found in the Yellow pages.
