I'm not quite sure what the right form to give you this stuff in is,
so here is the full content of people's mail responses. If you need
it edited in any way, please let me know.

I used Tuxedo Junction last year - and was pleased with their service,
if that's of any help.

I am getting married in May; I also ballroom dance, and own a set of tails,
so I have had some experience with TUX places.

3 of my friends got married last year. All of them went to

East End Formals (Under new management since about a month ago,
located on Highland avenue in East Liberty. They have the largest
selection of styles I have found. Normally pickup is on Thursday,
return on Monday, except during prom season, when it is
Friday-Monday. I am getting my tux there, I hope the place is still as
	good as it was before)

The most competent and knowledgeable place (actually just the owner, not the
store clerks) is

	Gingiss in Century III mall

he will help you with some of the weirder stuff (white tie, tails and
piquet (this is *real*, formal stuff)), but not as large a selection as above.
They are a chain, nationwide, so you can get measured here, and get the tux
out of town. Th/Fr-Su

The place on Forward has not got a very large selection; I have no yea or
nay to them. I get my tails cleaned there for competition. They are good
with that, so I expect their rentals to be of good quality too. Th/Fr-Su

Finally, the other place I know of is Alpha Formals downtown. They are
*&@%*$^* expensive, snobby etc. I can't vouch for quality etc, though.

Finally, the prices at most of these places for *base items* are more or
less the same, but price will vary depending on the actual tux. So go take a
look at it.

Good luck.

I rented a tux at Tuxedo Junction in Jun of 1990. The woman that runs
the place talks too much but other than that she was very helpful.

My friend and his wife selected the place so I didn't shop around
but I believe they were quite competitive.

I wound up using Tuxedo Junction in the spring of 1992, and was quite
satisfied. I needed the tux over the weekend, and they let me have it
early and even let me keep it until Tuesday because I was driving to
NJ and wouldn't be back in time to return it, at no extra charge.
Their prices were good as well, as I called a couple of other places
in making my comparisons.
